“Supercar” original oil painting
Oil on canvas
24 x 36
“Supercar” was a “success story”, as my university professor said. It was also the start of a massive and probably lifelong study of light in my creations. The reflections on the shiny paint, the metallic effects of the wheels and the slightly deformed reflexion of the light on curved surfaces was a great learning experience. Besides, I didn’t want to paint a car for the sake of it. It is a painting so we might as well create some cool effects. The framing of this picture make it so it takes a couple seconds for people to recognize that it is in fact a car. The puzzle look on their faces is follow by one of victory when they decipher and recognize the supercar. A great piece that is this portrait of a concept Ferrari.
